Job Description

Are you seeking a new temporary opportunity in early 2021 on a temporary basis to support within the homeless sector?

BS Social Care is one of the UK's leading specialist recruitment agencies and we specialise in sourcing and placing skilled workers within the social care markets into temporary and permanent roles. Working for an established organisation who provide support and homeless support services across the region, they offer various services across the group providing housing, and support to homeless and vulnerable people.

The role of Floating Support Worker will be to provide support to people who are street homeless and may require support to be housed and settle into appropriate accommodation. Your role will also include dealing with the referral process, managing a case load and you will be providing support, advice and assistance to Service Users to obtain and sustain a tenancy.
In addition you will be required to monitor and assess individuals' support needs, including risk assessing.
Your role will also be to develop and review individual support plans within timescales, in line with contractual and organisational requirements.

This role is temporary and and based on a 37.5 hour week Monday to Friday, with a view to commencing early Jan 2021, subject to an initial successful interview and subsequent satisfactory references and Enhanced DBS.

Ideally you will have previous experience and knowledge of working across the housing sector, dealing with vulnerable people and have a sound understanding of working with individuals who present with a housing issue and with the homeless sector in general. You will have good knowledge and experience of safeguarding and be flexible to work on a full time basis for 6 months and have access to own vehicle with full UK driving license. This role will be based in Burnley but with the expectation to travel across Pendle and Ribble Valley.

We offer a competitive salary which will be paid hourly, and annual leave entitlement, along with the opportunity to be awarded with ongoing incentives and training opportunities (subject to courses available.)
