Job Description

Our client based in the Berkhamsted area is looking for a Head Concierge to join their team working in the beautiful stately home which is set in an such an idyllic setting.

You will be at the epicentre of the business and deliver the highest level of customer service to clients daily. From weddings and afternoon teas to corporate meetings and gala dinners the Reception team welcome guests 24/7. As Head Concierge, you will manage a team of concierge/reception team members who manage the concierge desk 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. The concierge team are the 'go to' for all guests - nothing is impossible for the concierge team!

Your day to day duties will include leading the concierge team, plan for the smooth operation of the desk and ensure that all requests are handled in a timely, efficient and professional manner and to the highest level. You will also provide guests with all the information they require, identify and introduce new ideas to enhance the client journey and create more 'WOW' moments for guests and Arrange transport and book restaurants if requested. You will also respond to guests requests and make the necessary arrangements, develop and maintain knowledge of room types, products and services available to guests and handle any guest problems or complaints in a professional and hospitable manner. Ensure they are resolved, and learning's are gathered.
You will understand and comply with the Fire Safety procedures, ensure concierge desk and entrance areas are clean and tidy at all times and transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated areas. You will also be expected to manage the switchboard and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner.

You will be able to positively engage with all types of guests with varying needs and requirements, be able to adapt to the business needs, prioritising will need to be one of your key skills and the ability to keep calm and remain focused under pressure. You will be able to spot potential problems and resolve them before they grow. You'll go above and beyond to resolve issues for guests - turning niggles in to 'wow' moments!

In return the company offer a very competitive salary of £25,000-£26,000 per annum. This role is a full time role working early and late shifts (typically between 07:00-20:00) and one in three weekends. Hours will be worked averaging 40 hours per week.
