I am working with a reputable, respected organisation to recruit a deputy manager with a proven background in elderly, dementia care and support, on an initial fixed term 6-month period for a state of the art care home for older adults and people living with dementia in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
This service has great access, from Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Burntwood, Cannock and Rugeley.
You will join an organisation that invests heavily in staff and service development and has secured recognition nationally for their work and support.
Working closely with a skilled registered and deputy manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the service. Care and support planning, report writing and liaising with external agencies will form part of your role. You will also be committed to delivering high quality personal care and support, promoting independence and maintaining a warm, homely environment.
As part of the deputy manager role, you will be required to manage and lead your team effectively, mentor and deliver training where required. Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern, including some anti-social hours is essential.
The ideal candidate will be a committed, motivated and compassionate individual who can demonstrate a significant background within a supervisory role within elderly residential care settings. You will be committed to leading by example and the delivery of high-quality care and support. Extensive knowledge and experience of dementia care and support are essential for this role.
