Job Description
An expanding organization are recruiting for a Support Worker for their 15 bed care home in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire. You will be working with Adults, who have mild learning disabilities, epilepsy, seizures and no challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- Offer therapeutic / emotional support
- Work together in a team to help them with morning and night routines
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to (swimming, gym, aqua aerobics, local pubs)
- Some aspects or full personal care required but no manual handling / hoisting
Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- You will need your own transport due to location (no buses)
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £17,550 per annum = £9 per hour
- Full time 37.5 hours per week
- Shift patterns are 7:30am - 3:30pm, 1:30pm - 9:30pm, 2:30pm - 10:30pm or can offer long shifts 7:30am - 8:30pm
- Sleeps are paid at £55 per sleep 10:30pm - 7:30am
