New self catering/events business launching in late Spring/Summer is currently recruiting for a HEAD HOUSEKEEPER (Not Live-In)
About the Venue
Five self-catering lodges running alongside a Corporate/Event/Wedding venue. The regeneration of this property has taken three years and is designed to meet the needs of the modern traveller with elegant interiors, modern conveniences set in a stunning landscape.
The venue will run with a 5* approach, accommodating up to 28 people across five properties. Working as part of a small family team, we are looking for a hands-on team player, preferably with people management experience and knowledge and experience of maintaining luxury interiors.
To organise and manage staff rotas
To assign housekeeping duties to staff and prepare daily work sheets
To assist in the selection process for new team members, when necessary
To supervise daily housekeeping shifts, operations and ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures
To be `hands on` and service rooms or public areas and cover the evening housekeeper shift, if required
To regularly inspect all fixtures, fittings and appliances ensuring they are of the required standard and recommend any actions to be taken
To oversee all ordering connected to the Housekeeping hygiene and look of the property with General Manager
Lead with a consistently positive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
Salary £21-24k (based on experience)
Who are you?
A candidate with experience of 4/5 star hospitality
An exceptional eye for detail
Experience of running a small team
Full and clean driving license - as will be required to drive to property
Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written
