My client is looking for an experienced Head of Fostering, to manage their growing fostering department in London.
The ideal candidate will:
. Be able to inspire and motivate others to build high performing teams.
. Be able to Translate strategic aims into practical and achievable plans.
. Be able to deliver budgets on a timely fashion and define results, taking into account the needs of the stakeholders.
. Be able to support other people through emotional difficulties
. Be able to manage change constructively;
. Effectively communicate the need for change, and assess the impact of change
. Have a clear understanding of the organisation`s purpose and the values that underpin that, focusing on providing outstanding care and outcomes for children.
Candidate`s must haves:
. Social Work Degree or equivalent Social Work Qualification and Level 5 Management Qualification.
. Significant post graduate experience.
. Membership of relevant professional body.
. Management experience at a senior level preferably within the IFP sector.
. Proven track record of delivering results including improvements to service.
. Excellent knowledge of childcare legislation; specifically the Regulations and Standards for Fostering.
. Successful management of large budgets / operations operating within financial constraints and / or competing priorities.
. Understanding of Health and Safety legislation and their role in protecting the health, safety and well-being of colleagues and others.
This role is paying up top £66,000 per annum.
