Independent Living Manager
Exmouth
Part-time (25hrs) £11.50 p/h

We are working with a valued client who are looking to recruit an Independent Living Manager for their retirement service in Exmouth. The service has 39 residents in 1-2 bedroom apartments.

You will be responsible to enhance the Residents' quality of life enabling them to maintain their independence by being available to all service users to talk with them, arranging appropriate help, support services and advice as necessary. You will also be expected to facilitate social interaction, helping residents enjoy their lives. Managing the communal areas, gardens and external buildings to provide a well maintained and safe environment.

You will lead, direct, supervise and support all grades of staff working within independent living to provide services which can respond flexibly to the needs of the service users.

Provide a sympathetic response to service users and others in event of illness, hospitalisation or bereavement as well as liaising with customers, relatives and others in event of emergencies and their aftermath.

You will complete a comprehensive induction meeting with the service user(s) and family within 7 days of move in, and manage the bookings and operation of the Guest Suite (where available)

What we are looking for:

• Level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum.
• 2 years' Experience of working in a retirement living development or similar type of role within customer service, hospitality or care environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of budgets.
