Job Description

Interim/Maternity Cover 6-9 months fixed term contract

  • Upto 21% bonus per annum of annual salary
  • 33 Days Annual Leave Entitlement (inc. Bank Holidays)

We are working with a leading provider of residential services to children & young people across the UK on their search for an interim Service Manager for their EBD service based in Ellesmere Port.

Responsibilities will include leadership, direction, and management of the service, through your staff team - ensuring the best quality children`s service is provided along with the highest levels of performance to meet both company and OFSTED standards.

On a day-to-day basis you will be delivering childcare, through your team that should always be focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child/young person individually.

With this in mind you will need to be able to demonstrate your practical leadership experience within a childcare setting; your expertise in supporting & organising your staffing team to provide the best possible care at all times including supervising and mentoring of staff, organising shift patterns, facilitating training and development, and accessing external and internal services available to support the childcare practices provided within the home itself

Essential Criteria

  • It is essential that you have the following attributes/qualifications to be successful within this role:
  • You must hold Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children & Young People`s Residential Management) qualification
  • You will also have an in-depth knowledge of EBD, SEMH & other complex/challenging behaviours
  • Your background and experience of working within residential childcare settings as a Registered Manager previously will also enable you to commit to delivery high quality care through your staff teams, ensuring an exceptional level of safe, person-centred care.
