Job Description

BS Social Care Croydon is currently looking for support workers who have experience supporting adults with varied learning disabilities or autism.

We are working with a number of organisations in South London, that provide supported living services, residential care homes, day centres and outreach programs for adults who have mild to complex needs. Our clients are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion to improve the lives of others. Our clients have services located across Croydon, Bexley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Sutton, Wandsworth, Merton and Southwark.

As a recruiter of vulnerable people, we are interested in speaking with candidates who understand their responsibilities of providing a safe and supportive environment that seeks to promote independence where possible. You will be an experienced support worker, who understands person centred support and is able to adapt to the needs of your client. You will be able to read, understand and follow care/support plans. You will be experienced in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours. You will have an understanding of assessing risks and safeguarding adults from harm.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6 months experience supporting vulnerable adults with learning disabilities or autism
- Some roles do require personal care
- Understanding of learning disabilities AND/OR autism
DESIRABLE
- Team Teach training
- SCIPS Training
- Challenging behaviour training
- Behaviour management training
- Qualifications specific to learning disabilities

£9.00 - £13.00 PH
