Job Description

Exciting opportunities available for support workers on both day rotas and night rotas to join an established residential and supported living service for adults with learning disabilities, predominantly an Autism diagnosis and challenging behaviour.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will actively promote dignity and independence amongst the people in your care the provision of education and employment support. You will play a key role in care planning, report writing and administering medication, and will be required to attend staff meetings and all training provided.

You must also be fully flexible, across 7 days as all shifts are worked on a rota basis. (This will include long day shifts). BOTH DAYS AND NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER ROLES AVAILABLE, with this client DAYS are more per hour than NIGHTS.

Be willing and able to participate in daily activities, if and when needed which may include support within the community. Be able to follow a detailed care plan along with completing daily logs.

To be successful within this role you must already working within a similar environment, you will hold the NVQ 2 in health and social care and have a comprehensive understanding of the promotion of choice and independence within a care setting. A comprehensive understanding of Autism and complex needs is also essential.
