Learning Disabilities Support Worker (Residential)

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for SUPPORT WORKERS to join a leading provider for adults with learning disabilities and autism within a residential and supported living setting.

This opportunity is join their RESIDENTIAL team full time for 36 hours per week. This will be on a rota of 12 hours shifts 3 on and 3 off. You will also get the opportunity to complete sleep ins which is a on top of your annual salary.

Your daily tasks and duties will be;

- Promote dignity and independence
- Care Plans and Report Writing
- Administering Medication
- Community Activities
- Personal Care and Bathing
- De-escalate Challenging Behaviour if and when it occurs

To be considered for this role you only need 6 months experience in a learning disabilities or elderly setting. A background in learning disabilities and a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential. However you will need to be a positive, proactive, caring, compassionate person. With fantastic communication skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging behaviour.

For all your hard work you can expect an hourly rate of £8.21 + a sleep in rate of £67.50. 28 Days holidays inc bank holidays. A full induction and training package and the opportunity to complete your NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care if you don`t already hold this.
