Job Description

***Children Support Assistants & Care Assistants *** £10 ph

A well established Education and Residential Children Service is now recruiting for Residential Support Workers and learner support assistants (facilitators) for their services in and around the Cheltenham area in Gloucestershire. You will be supporting young people and adults (generally around 16 to 25 year olds) who have learning disabilities, Autism, Aspergers, profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), physical disabilities and some will be physically challenging.

Main Job Role:
- Support them with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Work together in a team to help get them up in the mornings to helping put them to bed at night
- Assist them with their daily meals and diets (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
- Help them get to their classes and support them with their homework
- Accompany them to appointments, health visits and out in the community
- Get stuck in with their daily 121 / group activities - bowling, going for a walk, education activities...
- Some aspects of personal care

Qualifying candidates:
- Proven experience working in the care sector
- Must have your own transport due to location

Contract / Terms:
- Ongoing Temp work
- Full time (39 - 44 hours a week) and part time (15 - 39 hours a week)
- Working days will be Mondays to Fridays with weekends
- Shifts will vary from 7am - 10/11pm
