Job Description

A small independent Children Services are recruiting for a Level 3 Qualified Shift Leader / Senior Support Worker for their 4 bed residential care home in Banwell, Avon (Somerset). You will be supporting Children & young people who have EBD, attachment disorder, substance mis-use and may display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Staff supervision / shift leading
- Practical, therapeutic and emotional support of children
- Overseeing house in manager`s absence
- In charge of rosters and covering shifts
- Update risk assessments, health & safety checks, care and support plans
- No personal care

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce
- Need to have residential care home experience with adults or children home
- Must be a driver with your own car

Contract / Terms:
- Salary including sleeps is £25,725 - £26,755 per annum = (£21,630 - £22,660 basic salary)
- Sleepins are 9 over a 4 week rolling rote (9 x £35 per sleep = £315 x 13 = £4,095)
- 24 hour shift patterns 12pm - 11pm SLEEP 7am - 12:30pm
- Full time (150 hour per month) 9 shifts a month
- Mondays to Friday plus alternative weekends
