Job Description

BS Social Care are working with one of the leading companies in the country within the Health and Social Care sector who are looking to recruit an experienced, proven, Registered Manager, to work as part of the senior
leadership team in a 2 bed residential children's' home, alongside a new Responsible Individual. The home has
recently been closed whilst major refurbishment works were undertaken and it's now ready to reopen.
The home is Ofsted registered for 2 young people, aged between 8 and 18, who may have low to moderate
EBD and/or LD. As part of our valued team, you'll participate in the selection and appointment of the Deputy
Manager(s), Senior Staff and Registered Childcare Workers. Once open, you'll be expected to provide a
nurturing and homely environment to set boundaries, lead by example and support the young people as much
as possible ensuring their transition to adulthood is the best it can be.
The role can be challenging but also massively rewarding. You'll receive first class training and you'll be working
within an established, very experienced team who'll make you feel welcome and supported. Through ongoing
development and exceptional training, you'll be given every opportunity to extend your skills and further your
career

Applicants should have the following skills and experience:
* Qualification in Diploma Level 5 in Residential Childcare, working towards this qualification or prepared
to be enrolled on this course.
* Effective leadership skills and experience in a Management or Assistant Management role with proven
ability to lead staff teams.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding.
* Experience of the Ofsted process.
* Ability to manage the home's budget.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with strong organisational skills.
* A full UK driving licence.
