Job Description

Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker?

Do you need a job which is flexible, provides a great work life balance and works around your other commitments?

Are you excited by the idea of new challenges and learning new skills?

If so, then here at BS Social Care we have a fantastic work opportunity for you!

We currently have lots of work with a low risk mental health facility in Port Talbot. The service is provided to men aged 18-65 years of age, requiring care and treatment in conditions of a locked rehabilitation service. It will consist of a treatment environment for patients who have a diagnosis of Mental illness. The patient may present with challenging behaviours, and have elements of risk associated with this behaviour, who are assessed as needing comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment and care by qualified and experienced staff, in mental health rehabilitation. These patients may require more security than can be provided in general psychiatric ward environments, but can be safely contained at a lower risk level than that offered in low secure services. This facility is focused on individualized holistic recovery, with the aim of actively contributing to the recovery care pathway for individuals moving to greater independence.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing high quality care and will have the ability to tailor the services offered, to a patient's particular needs. Due to the nature of this service, candidates must have PBM training.

We have a variety of shifts available including waking night shifts, sleep ins, day shifts, week day and weekend shifts.

If this role sounds interesting, but not quite suitable for you, then we also have other roles available in supported living settings, homeless projects, children's residential homes and nursing homes - to name but a few!

From us you can expect a competitive rate of pay, holiday pay and National Insurance contributions. You will also have a dedicated team of consultants who will be on call to help you with any needs you might have!

If you would like to apply to this role, if you require further information, then please either contact 02920 224 755 and ask for Mollie or, email mollie.bryde@ bssocialcare.co.uk
