Mental Health Outreach Worker

Up to £11 per hour

Here at BS Social Care we are currently recruiting for an Outreach Support Worker to work with a well-known mental health charity in the Cardiff area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a reputable charity and make a change to those that they support. You will be working with a range of people with mental health issues and require support to seek accommodation, appointments, assist accessing external support/benefits and supporting their emotional needs. You will also support with day to day tasks.

You will be working as part of a team with your own case load with visits into the community. This is a full-time post Monday - Friday (9-5) and you must be a driver for this role due to the support you will be offering. Experience working alongside mental health, homelessness, domestic abuse, benefits systems or substance misuse and alcoholism.

What we'll need from you:

  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Ability to monitor and ensure the safety and security of service users.
  • An understanding and background in mental health.
  • Ability to handle a caseload.
  • Must have an approachable, proactive and friendly attitude towards work.
  • A DBS registered on the Update Service would be a great advantage.
