Job Description

BS Social Care are currently working with a charity provider that offers help, care and support to adults affected by and recovering from Mental health problems and learning disabilities.

Our client is currently recruiting for Mental Health Recovery Workers to provide support within there 24 hour staffed residential services as well as semi supported accommodation and within the community.

Your role will consist of the following duties but is not limited to;

To encourage and support service users to take part in day time activities of interest to them including education and voluntary activities.

To maintain daily contact with service users to check on their welfare and provide support as set out in their care plan. To ensure that medication rounds are completed and that the service user's wellbeing plans are kept up to date and any concerns are report in the correct manner.

To encourage service users to contribute fully to their care and support plan as well as support the services users with form filling and making benefit claims and well as any other life admin or paperwork tasks.

To liaise with external agencies (such as CPNs, Social Workers, Community Mental Health Teams etc.) in relation to the service users, where necessary.


The ideal candidate will have an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and medication training. You will also be a proactive, non-judgemental person who is looking to make a difference in another person's life and wellbeing.

In return you can expect a full-time rota of 37.5 hours per week, with a generous salary of £9.10, pension plan, career development and a generous holiday allowance as well as in house training packages.
