Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and commited Mental Health recovery worker to join a Mental Health charity service in Kendal.

You will be working for an excellent charity provider in mental health rehabilitation and recovery specialising in supporting people with high and complex needs, they work with people with mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions and potential. Joining the group at a very exciting time of growth and expansion, which could lead to future progression and development opportunities.

Day-to-day, you`ll support individuals to develop emotional management and personal life skills to achieve greater independence and self-esteem. You will support individuals to develop coping mechanisms and tools to better manage their mental health. And, when it comes to liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to give people access to a full range of services and support, again, rely on your expertise.

The ideal candidate will be great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload, you love motivating and engaging people in a range of rehabilitative activities What`s more, you will have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people, provide intervention, work with external agencies and be an advocate for Mental Health.

The successful candidate must be willing to work towards a level 3 Health and Social care and be adaptable and resilient.


This is a full time Permanent position with a starting salary of £19305 Plus increments to the salary for a hot spot allowance with exciting training, progression and career development.
