Job Description

Recovery Support Worker
£16200 plus £72 sleep in allowance (2-4 per month on average)

We at BS Social Care are working alongside a renowned and highly admired social care organisation in the search for recovery workers for a unique residential recovery service.
The service is a one of its kind in the region providing support in a therapeutic community setting for service users with a personality disorder (PD) diagnosis. Working alongside community services, especially the personality disorder hub part or mental health services, the residential service provides a package of care and move on enabling the service users to build the skills and develop strategies to live a full and rewarding life achieving the goals that they set out for themselves.
You will have experience supporting service users who have been in mental health services, ideally having some experience working with those who have had a PD/BPD diagnosis. You will be open to working with new and different models and in ways that may challenge the way in which you have worked before. This is an innovative and challenging service which requires you to be both flexible and resilient. Challenging behaviour is a daily occurrence that the staff team and therapeutic community as a whole have to manage.
