Job Description

Mental Health Support Worker
Wyboston

Our client, a reputable care provide in the area, is looking for a Support Worker to join their friendly team in a supported living service.

As a Support Worker you will support people with Mental Health needs who may also have a dual diagnosis of Autism or a mild Learning Disability. You will support the service users to understand their diagnosis and develop coping strategies to manage their anxieties, which reduce the frequency and severity of challenging behaviours.

Your Duties:

You will be involved in the day to day support of the people within the service including, but not limited to, help with personal care, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry, and assistance with medication. Each and every person we support is unique so you will be encouraged to get creative, promoting each individuals independence, choice and dignity whilst still having plenty of fun along the way. No two days will be the same!

About you:

Ideally you will be a driver with access to your own car. However, a free bus service to and from Bedford is available!

Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training, however candidates with experience in Mental Health are particularly desirable.

You must have enthusiasm and commitment to live the company values every day to ensure the people you support live happy and healthy lives.
