Job Description

Mental Health Support Worker

Up to £10.50ph

Are you looking for a position that works around you? Then look no further!

Here at BS Social Care, we are looking for experienced, eager people with experience in a mental health setting to join us and help support the needs of individuals within supported accommodation and independently in their homes. We have a fantastic opportunity with a reputable mental health charity who offer residential and supported living series to young people and adults who have experience with mental and emotional distress.

Your role will be to assist the service users with their day to day needs, to promote independence and to empower them. This will involve a broad range of responsibilities withing tenancy support, domiciliary services and supported accommodation.

You will need to have experience in providing personal assessments and developing support plans for individuals. You will be responsible for ensuring they and striving to achieve positive outcomes thus giving them the ability to take control in their own lives and choices.

Successful candidates will have great communication, empathy and interpersonal skills as well as initiative to help the amazing teams of staff and service users at the services we support.

What well need from you:

  • A DBS registered on the Update Service would be a great advantage.
  • Ability to develop support plans.
  • Ability to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the residents.
  • An understanding of challenging behaviour.
  • Must have a background in Mental Health.
  • At least 6 months experience working in Care
