Our client is a modern Rehabilitation centre in North West Leeds. They have inpatient rehabilitation and high dependency inpatient rehabilitation for 18yrs+ females. The service users will have been detained under the mental health act (1983) and subject to MOJ restrictions or deprivation of liberty safeguards. They may present some challenging behaviours and are at risk of self-harming.

As a Support Worker, you will promote service user independence and work from dedicated support plans to improve their mental health. A number of the services offer step down units to enable smooth transition into the community.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years experience, or alternatively 6 months experience with a relevant qualification in Health & Social Care. You will also have a DBS on the update service, or alternatively be willing to pay £50 for a DBS directly through Brook Street Disclosures. It is also essential you can provide 2 years worth of references along with proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

It is required you have management of violence and aggression or equivalent, medication and manual handling training due to the nature of the role, so please refrain from applying if you do not meet this criteria.

The hourly rate of pay is £8.50 along with Holiday Pay to accrue.
