Night Support Worker
Salary / hourly rate: £23,741 / £11,41 starting rate
Employment type: Full Time
Hours: Up to 40hpw

We are recruiting for a support worker for a very well-known UK organisation who support people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities.

The successful candidate will receive a salary starting from £23,741 FTE (including a 10% market location premium) per annum (£11.41 hourly rate) plus pension and excellent benefits. Flexible on hours and can support patterns of work between 20 and 40 hours per week


About the Role

As a Support Worker you`ll be supporting the Registered Manager coach, support and manage the staff team, you`ll be a role model to others through demonstrating excellent behaviors and care to those you support.

The purpose of your role is to give the highest possible care to individuals in their daily lives. You will ensure your service is well led, safe, caring, effective and responsive.

Working in any care role, flexibility is important for both you and for the people you support.


Responsibilities of our Support Worker:

Key work and support clients generally within your project,
Provide personal care to identified clients
Take an active role in the assessment and management of risk
Maintain a clear and calm manner whilst managing client risk
Manage and facilitate client meetings
Ensure that all medication within the project is managed in line with Trust policy and procedures.
Assist in the management of the referral process within the project to achieve agreed occupancy levels
Apply Emergency First Aid response to clients and any other person in the building/grounds
Ensure that the client is offered food in line with their dietary plans

About you

To be successful with your application you`ll need to have….
Level 2 qualified (and happy to study towards level 3)
Experience of overseeing other staff (this could have been a small part of your role but needs to be formally overseeing, eg: through supervisions)
Previous experience as a Support Worker
You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records
If you have driving license that is desirable too
Can-Do attitude
