Job Description

Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity within substance misuse and the community? This could be the job for you!

Our client is looking to cover a contractual position with immediate effect until February 2019, which could be extended until later in the year.

In this role you will be working as a outreach worker for substance and alcohol misuse, providing community support and cell intervention/ arrest referral.

You will be working alongside the police and HM courts providing assistance to those who require screening assessments and comprehensive assessments within your caseload. A number of those you will be supporting will have dependency on heroin and therefore experience of dependency management for this particular group is essential.

Due to the nature of this position we require all candidates to be car drivers as you will be working within the community with the service users and various agencies to provide support as part of their care packages.

Previous experience of supporting those with substance and alcohol misuse, dealing with various agencies including police, probation and HM courts.

Immediate telephone interview.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5pm. You may be required to cover until 7:30pm one Friday in 4.

MUST BE A CAR DRIVER, AND DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS POSITION YOU ARE REQUIRED HOLD AN ENHANCED DBS. BENEFICIAL IF YOU ARE ON THE UPDATE SERVICE.


Pay rate for this role is a generous £9.50-£10.45 per hour, plus holiday pay.
