Job Description

A well established large organization is recruiting for Support Workers for their supportive Living services in Newent, Gloucester. You will be working with Adult, who have learning disabilities, mental health (complex needs) who has no challenging behaviour but does swear.

Main Job Role:
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to
- Accompany them on the bank, appointments, health visits and in the community
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- No personal care
- Lone working (1-2-1 support)

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must be male candidates only due to the service user needs

Contract / Terms:
- Salary including sleeps is £15,797.73 per annum = £8.66 an hour (£10,301)
- 45.75 hours over a fortnight
- 3 sleep-ins over a fortnight paid at £70.47 per sleep = £5,496.66
- 24 hour shift patterns: 8am - 10:30pm (sleep) then 7:30am - 8:15am finish
