Job Description

** Preschool Nursery Educator **
** Daventry, Northamptonshire **
** Permanent and full time **
** 3 week rolling rota; 7.30am - 4pm / 8am - 5pm / 8.30am - 6pm **
** Independent, stand alone and well established nursery **
** £17,100 - £18,500 **

If you are an experienced childcare worker bursting with enthusiasm and professionalism with a passion for childcare then we would love to hear from you. Our provision is based in Daventry and with our excellent childcare provision and our Outstanding Ofsted rating we have built an excellent long-lasting reputation. We aim for a very high standard of care and would expect you to bring this to the role.

We are looking for a committed Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualified ideally, however, if you do not have this qualification then we would expect you to complete this whilst employed by us. We are looking for candidates who can work hard within the nursery and care for every child within your room.

The position will be offered on a permanent basis based on an average working week of 40 hours. The shifts shall be based Monday to Friday on a 3 week rotating shift basis of 7.30am - 4pm / 8.30am - 5pm / 8.30am - 6pm.

We are looking for the right candidate to bring their experience and knowledge to the role of our vacant role.

You would be expected to:
- Be involved with the team within the room and support curriculum planning and implementing reflective practice working within the EYFS
- Ability to communicate confidently with other professionals, parents and children
- To be able to understand and meet the needs of all individual children and families
- To achieve and maintain high standards of care and consistent environments for children
- The ability to form caring and trusting relationships with the children and their families
- Complete record keeping and observations for your key children
- Plan and lead age appropriate activities

Ideally you will hole some recent experience in a similar role within a nursery and you will ideally hold a relevant qualifications Level 2 or level 3 in Childcare and have a desire to increase your knowledge through continuous professional development. However, if you do not have this, we would want to understand as to why would like to take on a nursery role.

Having good knowledge of the EYFS and Safe Guarding is a desirable. You must have a strong working attitude and want to not only work hard, but play hard!

You will be expected to promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues, ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times and oversee the smooth running and high quality practice within the room. To succeed you must be proactive, well organised, hardworking and passionate and show the ability to use your own initiative on a daily basis.

You must be committed and confident to work effectively as part of a team. You will have the ability to communicate well with children and adults alike and demonstrate a caring and patient attitude. You will be a good listener and able to relate well with other members of staff. It is important that you are diligent and have the self-commitment to keep on top of record keeping and reporting. You will have a desire to increase your own learning and that of your colleagues by making available any training information.

A salary of £17,100 - £18,400 will be offered for a full time and permanent role. This role has lots of benefits such as 28 days annual leave, parking, training, pension, career development, employee of the month annual leave and more.
