* Early; 6.30am/7am - 2pm/2.30pm Late; 2pm/2.30pm - 9.30pm/10pm Waking Night; 10pm - 7am *

BS Social Care are currently working with one of the largest childrens charities in the country assisting them with their recruitment of a Project Worker within a brand new part of their company.
We are recruiting for permanent candidates looking for either full time or part time hours to work with children and young people aged 5yrs - 18yrs with Learning Disabilities, physical disabilities, personal care needs, hoisting and wheelchair needs.

About the employer; this is a large country wide charity.

About the job; as a Project Worker you will support the children to have a quality experience during their stay in our comfortable, bright five bed children's home in Banbury, this will include supporting the young people with all their personal care needs.

In addition, you will assist with outings and activities, and be expected to work as part of the team, in providing a safe, clean, and caring environment for the children.

Job purpose:

To provide advice, support and services to children, young people and their families in accordance with the aims and objectives of the service.

Key responsibilities:

Under guidance and instruction:
To work with children, young people and their families, on a one to one or group basis, using a variety of interventions, to identify needs and to achieve positive outcomes.
To work in partnership with parents/carers to empower them and to enable them to achieve better outcomes for their children.
To work co-operatively with children's services, health agencies and other community based services, to provide the most effective service for children young people and families.
To contribute to service development.
To apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.

About the ideal candidate;

Ideally as a min, a NVQ Level 2 in Children and Young People.
Awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable children and young people and families (e.g. disadvantage, poverty, disability).
Awareness of children's need to feel safe.

Experience
Some experience of work with children and young people but this does not have to have been gained in a formal employment setting.

Skills/Abilities
Able to listen to and communicate effectively with children and young people.
Able to work as part of a team.
Able to accurately and clearly record case notes deploying the necessary standard of writing and IT skills.
Able to apply the companies safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Salary and benefits; for this permanent role, when working full time hours, you will be offered a salary of £18,278 - £25,234 depending on your experience. This is alongside a full induction, training, shadow shifts, qualifications and more. You will be part of a training academy so learning more or progressing into management is always an option. You will be paid enhancements for sleep ins and over time. More benefits will be discussed at interview stage.
