Job Description

Senior Residential Children`s worker required to join an established childcare provider based within a small established residential service for adolescents with SEBD in Kidderminster.

You will be employed by a private, established provider of residential care and support on a full time basis within their Kidderminster service.

Based in a beautiful, rural setting, this service has excellent connections from the M5 and the Worcester, Wolverhampton and Dudley areas.

The role of senior support worker will require you to work closely with the deputy manager and registered manager. You will lead the shift and offer support, guidance and advice to the young people within your care. You will work closely with the residential support workers and support them with their induction, continued development and ongoing training.

Most importantly, you will act as a role model for the young people within your care. You will support them to make sound life choices, promote education and access to employment and mentor them to develop independent living skills.

Due to nature of this role, you will be employed on a full time basis and be required to work varied shift patterns including sleep ins.

A compassionate, care focused and resilient individual, you will possess proven team leading skills and be able to work well within a fast paced environment. You will have excellent morals, strong interpersonal skills and be a role model for the people you support


To apply for this vacancy you will have a proven background within children`s residential settings and be a highly skilled RSW looking for your next challenge or a skilled senior who would like a new opportunity. You will hold the QCF level 3 in health and social care (children and young people). You will have flexibility to work a varied shift pattern including sleep ins and will hold a full UK driving licence, ideally with access to your own vehicle.

This exciting opportunity is offering a highly competitive hourly rate at £9.50ph, as well as a sleep in allowance. In addition, you will receive a generous annual leave allowance, on going personal and professional development and continued training.
