Job Description

** Recovery Coordinator (Criminal Justice) **
** Watford, Hertfordshire **
** 12 month contract **
** 18.75 hours per week **
** Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within criminal justice or related field is essential for this role **

BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a well-established organisation who assist people through the criminal justice system to reduce substance misuse related harm. This post is a 12 month contract working 18.75 hours per week.

They enable people to make the positive changes necessary to lead independent and purposeful lives and create safer, healthier communities. This service is to help anyone who is vulnerable and needs assistance with any aspect of their lifes.

About the job; the post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality provision by supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey, providing screening, assessments, and recovery planning and onward referral. Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community, promoting carer, service user and community involvement, providing advocacy for access to partnership services, working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.

About the ideal candidate; to apply for this role, you must have the following...

- Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within criminal justice or related field.
- Experience of supporting and advising participants with complex and/or multiple barriers to success.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice system.
- Experience of working within Criminal Justice Partnerships.
- Knowledge of effective interventions that lead to reduction in drug related crime.
- Desirable - Experience of carrying out DRR assessments.

For this 12 month contract, you will be offered between £23,218.59 - £26,983.44 pro rota alongside benefits that will be discussed at interview stage.
