Job Description

**** FULL TIME NIGHT SHIFT RECOVERY WORKER (RESIDENTIAL)****
£20,475 salary
Consett

BS Social Care are working alongside a new and expanding organisation providing housing service to the some of the most vulnerable and excluding service users who are seeking stable accommodation and other wraparound services.

The organisation who you will be employed by are recognised for providing innovative services for the most vulnerable service users who have, in the whole, had previous housing placements fail. They provide accommodation and support to service users with a variety of complex needs including those who have accessed mental health services, some who have substance misuse issues and those with any trauma based background. All residents have been effected by homelessness.

You will work with the team in helping deliver any support plans that are drawn up with the residents. Due to the nature of the service, adhering to policies and risk assessments is a must. Night shift is not a `downtime` for the worker. The night shift recovery worker's duties include house rounds ensuring safety, notekeeping and general housekeeping duties. A thorough handover to your colleagues in the morning is required.

You will have had experience working in services where you have supported service users with complex needs. You will be able to evidence where you have shown resilience when confronted with challenging behaviour. Communication skills are absolutely essential in this position.

A relevant NVQ 3 in the health and social care field would be ideal, but, as already stated, experience in a similar role is the most vital requirement.

A company pension is available if you take up this post and there is potential to develop your career within this expanding organisation. This organisation will put you through relevant training courses and NVQs should you want to develop your career with them.

Should your application be successful, you will be asked to attend a face-to-face interview at the house which will give you a chance to see if it is the service where you can see yourself developing the next step in your career.

The organisation is looking to move quick with this one so if this sounds like the job for you, apply today. If you would like an informal chat around the position, call Matty on 07483931812.
