An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the leading charity for people with autism and their families.
The residential services are set in 26 acres of land and have six purpose-built houses, which enable autistic people to live ordinary day-to-day lives in small groups, with the help of specialist staff. It is also home to an Autism Centre.
We are looking for a committed individual with a positive attitude, who is resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. The philosophy of the service endorses the person-centred planning approach, promotes each person's strengths and skills and promotes the growth of individuals to their maximum potential. A positive and flexible approach will be required.
You will have proven experience of working as a Registered Manager with either learning disability or mental health background it would be desirable if you have worked in the autism sector but not essential.
You will hold an NVQ Level 4/5 or equivalent level of qualification knowledge of care planning and standards relating to social care.
You will have excellent staff management experience with the ability to motivate and lead a team of staff.
Working 37 hours per week you will be required to be flexible as all services operate a rota system that covers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is highly desirable that you hold a driving licence and have access to transport.
