We are working with a care provider who are opening a new service based in Bournemouth and are seeking a Registered Manager to assist with the running of the service.
The ideal candidate will hold a level 5 in leadership and management (or currently working towards it). Have experience in a similar setting, working with younger people and demonstrate the ability to establish, sustain and disengage from relationships with the young people and their families.
You will be physically able to attend and complete physical intervention training and receive full certification as required for the role. Assess risks, identify control measures and take necessary steps to ensure a safe environment for young people and colleagues. Work as part of a team and understand the concepts of team work and the need for contribution and flexibility. Understand how personal actions and attitudes impact on others
You will actively participate in recruitment, grievance, disciplinary, health and safety and other staffing matters with support from the Responsible Individual and Management Team. Supervise and oversee the quality of care given and reporting undertaken by their home staff working with the young people, to ensure high levels of care and an effective service that complies with local and statutory practises.
Working with staff to develop individual placement plans and programmes, preparation of statutory reports and paperwork, ensuring that placement plans are delivered, and the emotional, physical, environmental, social, educational, spiritual and cultural needs of individual young people are met.
