We are working with a client who are looking to appoint a new Registered Manager for their modern nursing home in Dorchester. It's a large nursing home, providing care for 48 residents most of whom have dementia.
You will be a role model of professional behaviour to all staff, actively empowering staff to achieve the highest standard of personalise care. You will plan, organise and implement effective staff induction, supervision, appraisal and training in accordance with statutory requirements and standards to enhance, empower and embrace positive performance.
You will manage the homes delegated budget and control expenditure and make recommendations for the use of financial resources against non- delegated budgets.
Ensure current knowledge of and monitor compliance with legislative, regulatory requirements including best practices and organisational policies and procedures taking appropriate action to ensure any areas of non-compliance are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.
As this is a large home with a large number of staff members, ideally you would have managed a large staff team previously. This vacancy is available for both nurses and non-nurses as you will have a nursing deputy manager and senior nurse
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the care industry
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a manager
- A level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
- Clinical knowledge
- Business skills
