Job Description

I am seeking an inspirational and passionate registered manager to oversee the opening and management of a new, state of the art residential service for children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in the Coventry region.

Your new service offers special needs children and young people from 5-17 years of age a safe and nurturing home where they can work towards reaching their full potential.


This exciting opportunity will require you to play a key role in:
" Mobilising the service, including registration with OFSTED
" Staff and service management, including placement planning, referrals, safeguarding, report writing and monitoring quality and compliance
" Staff recruitment, mentoring and training
" Person centred care and support planning
" Finance and budget management
" Liaising with external agencies and local authority representatives, attending meetings as required
" Promoting independent living skills, through education and activity planning
" Shared on call


To be considered for this role, you must:
" Hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People`s Services; or equivalent; or working towards the same with the right amount of experience
" Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.

You will also have the following experience:

" Ofsted Registered Children`s Home: 3 years minimum
" Ofsted Registered Manager: 1 year minimum (applications will also be considered from registered managers who have transferable skills and knowledge secured in young adults` services)
" Supervision/management experience
" Working with children, young people, and their families in a residential setting
