Job Description

Registered Manager Children

Oldham

Starting Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 P/A

Hours: 40 hours plus additional on-call services (rota).

Responsible to: Responsible Individual and work direction from Group Operations Manager

My Client is currently recruiting for a permanent Registered Manager role for a Children`s home in Oldham. The home offers placements to children and young people under 16 who have EBD and also require intervention on the therapeutic model.

The Registered Manager is responsible for providing high quality care services that support the needs of the children and young people, to be an advocate for their well-being and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.

The Registered Manager will be supported by a Deputy Manager and the Senior Management Team.

" Main working hours between Monday - Friday days, may require to do some weekends and evenings but not on a regular basis. - will be required to be on an on call rota outside these times.
" Mileage will be paid at an agreed rate and is payable for business purposes


Successful applicants will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
" Registered Manager in a Residential Children`s Home for at least 1 year
" Significant experience working in Residential childcare
" QCF Level 5 in Childcare or Equivalent
" Knowledge of the Children`s Act 1989 and associated regulations and practice guidance
" OFSTED benchmarking and inspection requirements
" Supervision or management experience
" Management of resources including budgets, staff, building etc.
