Job Description

*Registered Manager - Supported Living & Outreach Services - Northamptonshire*

You are a Registered Manager looking for new challenges and want to make a difference in people's life? This job is for YOU !!!

Join and lead our dynamic team in Northamptonshire

We are the leading UK charity for around 700,000 people with autism and their families. We provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism. We are proud of the difference we make.

This role will manage the Supported Living and Outreach services across the Northamptonshire area.

Our support ranges from a few hours each week, to more comprehensive care packages and 24-hour supported living for those with more complex needs, such as epilepsy, sensory over- or under-sensitivity, and other health difficulties.

We are looking for committed individuals with a positive attitude, who have a passion to work in an organisation that specialises in autism. You'll be working with autistic adults and their families, supporting adults with a diagnosis of autism and Asperger syndrome to live the life they choose, achieve their goals and access a range of community resources and activities.

You will be responsible for leading the outstanding care and management of all aspects of your respective services, ensuring individual outcomes are met for the people we support; maintain quality of service and strive to grow and develop the services, adapting to changing needs.

The roles will have full legal responsibility for making sure the services ensure compliance with CQC regulation in relation to the day to day care of people accessing the service.

You will ensure that the needs of adults with autism are assessed, identified and met through careful programme planning and behaviour support; manage an agreed budget to provide an efficient, viable service; supervise and manage staff performance and coordinate positive, collaborative liaison with external agencies, multi-disciplinary teams and health professionals.

You will have proven experience of working as a Registered Manager with either a learning disability or mental health background. It would be desirable if you have worked in the autism sector, but not essential.

The philosophy of the services endorses the person-centred planning approach, promotes each person's strengths and skills and the growth of individuals to their maximum potential.
A positive, pro-active and flexible approach will be required.
Experience of managing a team is essential.

You will also have an excellent working knowledge of care standards and related legislation as well as accurate and detailed report writing skills and business and finance skills to ensure the service is run on a sound financial basis.

Qualifications and experience

A recognised social work qualification or a professional qualification relevant to working with adults at least at level 4.
A qualification in management at least at level 4.
At least two years' experience relevant to social care within the last five years.
At least two years' experience supervising and managing professional staff.
Driving license essential and access to own transport.

Where will you be working - based in Irthlingborough but with travel across sites in Northamptonshire

Salary: £29,400 - £32,850 per annum

Hours of work - 37 hours per week - you will be required to be flexible as all our services operate a rota system that covers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Benefits:
We offer a pension scheme; 25 days annual leave (rising to 27 days after five years and 30 days in 'anniversary years'); an online staff discount scheme for a range of benefits; a 24-hour Employee Assistance counselling and information service; childcare vouchers and cycle to work schemes.
