Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Registered nurse assessor for a large national provider of home healthcare. As an RNA you will support children's care packages in the East Midlands. The role will oversee/manage complex care packages for children and families in their own home. You will work remotely as well as across the East Midlands and sometimes out of their branch in Peterborough.

Your role will consist of the following but not be limited too;

To ensure that all service users understand the care and treatment choices that are available to them.
To know the arrangements in place for obtaining and acting in accordance with the consent of the service users.
To positively promote the service user's right to choice and independence whilst ensuring that they are treated with the utmost respect, privacy and dignity at all times.
To be aware of local and national services and sources of support so that information can be provided to service users upon request.
To carry out on site supervision and appraisals with Homecare staff in accordance with CQC.
To comply with the NMC Code of Conduct and Professional Regulations and maintain valid professional registration.
Assume responsibility for own professional development. Where appropriate undertake training and obtain competencies in any new areas of care that are identified.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions and courses as required.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records relating to patient care in accordance with NMC guidelines for record keeping/trust policy.
Adhere to the company policy for the Administration of Medication and the NMC Standards for the Safe keeping and administration of medicines.


To undertake assessment of all new referrals as directed by OM, at the latest three days of receipt of referral. Complete accurately and in full service user assessment ,care plan and associated documentation covering the following essential areas:
o Domestic overview
o General health review of service user
o Summary of the home environment
o Current medication and any procedures required for administration of this
o Review of client moods, behaviour and mobility issues
o Summaries personal and clinical tasks required
o Risk assessment
To provide written care assessments of service users, before commencing package

To be successful in this role then you should have the following;
Currently a Registered Nurse Level 1 Adult and /or Children's Nurse on the live NMC Register. Good understanding of the CQC Domiciliary Care Standards and Regulations. Understand the effects of ageing, disability, incapacity and illness and the effects these can have on a Service Users' well being
