Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a RESIDENTIAL AND EDUCATION SUPPORT WORKER of a highly respected provider of residential and educational support for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex care needs on the Dudley/Birmingham border.

My client is an independent social care provider with an excellent reputation for providing high quality care and tailored support to young people.

The role of Residential and Education Support Worker can be challenging at times but can also be incredibly rewarding. As part of the RESW team you will be proving support both within a classroom environment as well in the home. The young people within your care require high levels of supervision and support to encourage independent living, support with education, emotional support and guidance as well as some personal care.

You will work with the young people to ensure that they feel safe, understood, confident and are capable of achieving their dreams. You will also work closely with their families to ensure they have peace of mind, are supported and reassured.


This position is best suited to an individual who is passionate about improving the lives and potential outcomes for vulnerable young people.

You will also be patient, caring and compassionate. Have excellent observation skills and be creative with activities and play. You will also be resilience and remain calm in challenging situations.

You will also hold a minimum of a 12 months experience in health and social care (children and young people`s services).

A salary in the region of £16,350 to £19,443 depending upon experience

A comprehensive induction and extensive training and development plan including a fully-funded QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and CALM training.
