Job Description

** Children Support Worker **
** Southport **
** £22,525 per annum **
** 3 days in. 3 days off rota **
** Earlies, Lates and weekends - 12 - 13 sleep ins per month at £76 each (first 5 included in the salary) **
** Full time **
** To work within a well-established 3 bedded children's emotional and behavioural residential home **

BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a well establish care company who care for children and young people via their residential homes. The children within these services have experienced sometimes traumatic starts to life which therefore requires very complex care and therapy which you can be a part of. We are looking for resilience and hardworking candidates who have a `get up and go` attitude, who are passionate about the work they produce and want to be within this role for the right reasons. This role can be incredibly demanding and challenging; however, it is also a line of work that gives great job satisfaction and can really allow you to make changes within people's life`s.

About the employer; provides a consistent, caring environment in which young people will feel both safe and secure. About the job; this role is to support the children and young people within one of seven residential homes. This service cares for 11 - 17 year old's with emotional and behavioural difficulties alongside mental health issues, Autism, ADHD and some learning difficulties.

About the ideal candidate; it is essential you are a driver and have the ability to drive with young passengers, you are required to achieve Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People`s Workforce or be willing to complete which is paid by the company, have the ability to participate in a range of activities with enthusiasm, have the ability to form positive working relationships with parents and outside agencies, have the ability to become an integral part of a team, hold good communication skills, have high levels of resilience, have the ability to build positive relationships with children and young people, have the ability to maintain professional standards at all times, have the ability to support young peoples in their daily routines in a variety of settings, have the ability to cope with a flexible working hours and to be available for sleep-in duties if required.

This role requires lots of resilience, lots of motivation and lots of passion to do the job well.

This is a permanent and full-time role paying £22,525, to work shifts of 3 days in and 3 days of rolling rota alongside 28 days AL, company paid health scheme that allows you to claim back the cost of your routine dental and opticians appointments as well as the cost of some prescriptions. Pension scheme, Life Insurance and carer progression to become a Senior, to Team Leader to Registered Manager earning an excellent salary package. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare qualification (the cost of providing this qualification alone is around £6K).
