BS Social Care are currently recruiting for Residential Children Support Workers based in the Leicester, Leicestershire area for permanent and full time hours of 39hrs per week which includes 8 sleep ins over 169 hours per month. This role will pay a basic salary of £19,712.

About the employer; this employer works with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a residential childrens home. This organisation is a large organisation and they work hard to ensure every single child is well looked after and given the best start in life.

About the job; this role will entail you supporting every child and young person within your service. You will work alongside the other Residential Children Support Workers alongside a care plan put together via the child themselves and other professionals involved in their life. You will essentially be playing a parental role taking on parent duties such as school runs and all school related tasks, prompting with personal care, encouraging social engagement and activities alongside social and emotional support.

About the ideal candidate; to apply for this role, you will ideally have personal experience similar to this role and work experience of challenging behaviour, willingness to take a NVQ 3 in Children and Young People after completing probation. It is essential that you are a driver.

We are also looking for people who are passionate about the role of working with children and young people, must show resilience as the role can be mentally and physically demanding and have awareness of children and young peoples challenges.

For this permanent and full time role working 39 hours on average per week on a rolling rota including sleep ins (contracted 8 sleeps over the month) you will be offered a starting salary of £16,832 with an additional £30 per sleep which results in a extra £2,880 totally your starting salary to £19,712
