BS Social Care are proud to be working alongside an independent, stand alone children's residential service in their hunt to find a skilled and experienced residential support worker to join the team.
The organisation have provided care to children and young people in Darlington since 2001 and are looking to continue their 'good' Ofsted rating, and hopefully push towards 'outstanding'.
You will have a proving history of working with young people, ideally in a residential setting. You will work with the manager as part of the team to provide a safe and secure environment for the young people to flourish in. You will have experience in drawing up and following care plans, risk plans and risk assessment plans.
Ideally you will have a relevant NVQ3 or equivalent in health and social care or children's residential/working force. You will have a caring nature and will also have a history of being able to work with challenging behaviors being resilient and understanding at all times.
The successful candidate will be able to work a varying rota including some weekend work and around 4-6 sleep-ins a month.
Once in the staff team, the home will work with you in career progression, putting you through relevant qualifications to give you the chance of more senior roles and responsibilities.
