Job Description

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for temporary work?

Can you commit to regular shifts until January 2020?

BS Social Care are currently recruiting Residential Children Support Workers for our established
client based in Halifax.

Your role will be to support Children & Young People aged 8 - 18 with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential setting. Some of the children may present challenging behaviour, but you will be supported by other experienced staff members at all times.

We have both day shifts and Waking Nights available, Days will be 9AM - 9PM and Waking Nights will be 9PM - 9AM. You must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week to be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience working with Children and Young People in a residential setting and will be able to commit to regular shifts until January 2020. You must be able to provide 5 years worth of references including your most recent employer.

It is desirable you have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, however this is not essential as you can apply for one through Brook Street disclosures at a cost of £46.

Pay rates will vary between £9.00 - £9.50 dependant on shift type, with holiday pay to accrue.
