Job Description

Are you someone who gives high quality of care and enjoy encouraging children to achieve full potential of their lives?

I am currently recruiting for a residential childrens support worker. The position is full time at 40 hours per week and you will be joining a team supporting young people aged 8-18 based in Sherburn-in-Elmet in Leeds.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
" Ensure good timekeeping and attendance and have flexibility to work a varied shift pattern as directed by the Home Manager.
" Work as part of a team and take guidance from the Shift Leader
" Ensure confidentiality at all times
" Participate in supervision, personal development plans, and attend all mandatory training along with completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People`s workforce in the specified time
" Ensure all aspects of the daily paperwork are completed within a timely manner and any information that requires reporting to your direct line management is done
" Ensure you are familiar, and remain updated with all company policies and procedures, relevant legislation, and individual young people`s documentation.
" Maintain a safe and clean environment in the home and fulfil all domestic duties.
" Support our young people with their daily routines
" Transport to, and participate in activities with our young people
" Encourage engagement and enjoyment in their chosen hobbies and interests.
" Transport to appointments and family contact both locally, and any location in the UK, and supervise when necessary.
" Transport to School/College which may involve supervision during School/College hours. Or, if our young people are not in School/College, prepare and support them for home tuition.
" Take responsibility as a Key Worker for an allocated young person and provide positive role modelling, encouraging them to have healthy relationships and enabling them to build trust.
" Follow each Individual Behaviour and Risk Management Plan to safeguard our young people and encourage them to behave in a socially acceptable manner.

Salary & Benefits-

£16,286.00 - £19,200.00 per year (dependent on experience)
