**Residential Support Worker - Childrens services**

Location: Ackworth, Pontefract

Salary: £18,790 including sleep ins and overtime. This company will provide you with a complete induction and foundation process. If you start in this post unqualified, you will begin study to achieve level 3 diploma in children and young people, a teaching assistant qualification and team teach accreditation. Due to the size of this organisation, progression opportunities become available quite regularly, so if you are interested in progressing into more senior roles, they will put in place a development scheme to ensure you are promoted as soon as possible.

My client is a nationwide care provider who focuses on improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioural issues and they currently have vacancies for Residential Support Workers in a 3 bedded home.

Duties
As a support worker, you will work under the direction of the senior support team to ensure that the quality of life of those in your care in always at its highest. Your main aim is to treat all residents with respect, dignity and encourage them to attain the highest level of independence possible, while always being on hand to give support when they need it. These young people will require 24 hour support so you must be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including sleep ins.
