Job Description

We want you to get off to the best start for you so we are giving you up to £500 when you first start your employment with us, and then when you have successfully completed the probationary period, we will give you up to another £500 for your hard work.


I am looking for a Residential Support Workers to join their team at our Home in Gunnislake, Cornwall. We support three children between the age of 7-17 who have Autism and/or a learning difficulty. We are looking for enthusiastic staff to join the team, who will inspire and guide our young people to become their personal best.

Full time and part time hours available (20 / 40 hours per week) with a fantastic salary of up to £19,760 - £20,280 (depending on experience / Pro-rata for part time). Plus additional overtime hours available.

We offer full training provided at L3, opportunities for further career development up to L5 and sector specialist additional training in a wide range of courses once your permanent contract and enhanced rate of pay once completed.

Shifts patterns are: 8am - 9.30pm working on average 3 shifts per week and you will be required to work on average of 8 sleep-ins per month (this is based on a full time contract)

You may be required to work at one of our other homes - having your own transport or access to transport is essential for this position.

As a Residential Support worker, you will be working in a fast paced, varied and rewarding environment. As well as supporting a staff team, involving inducting and training of new starters, shift planning and supervision and taking on additional responsibilities, you as a Senior Support Worker will be mentored by a dedicated and passionate management team.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a Support Worker Role, be ambitious and motivated to making a real difference as a Senior Support Worker, looking to develop further. You will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families and other stakeholders, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in teaching them life skills. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital.
