Residential Support Worker
£20,230 - £22,000
Haverfordwest
Full time - 39 hours a week

We are working in partnership with a client based in Haverfordwest, who are looking for Residential Support Worker for their Children`s Home. This is a highly rewarding role offering a competitive salary and wonderful chance to truly make a difference to young people`s lives.

The role involves working proactively with the team within daily routine and agreed structures of the house, to include for example day to day parenting responsibilities, undertaking daily household responsibilities such as domestic task (cleaning, washing, ironing etc.), cooking, shopping, taking young people to appointment/ meetings, planning the day and participation in activities (including physical activities such as sport) with the young people. Support in the school environment, in lessons with the young people and with homework etc.

You will be playing an active role in the lives of all young people and to fulfil their emotional needs: to feel seen, heard, safe, respected, valued, supported, empathised with and cared for. In conjunction with the Home Manager and team develop a positive public profile of the service ensuring good communication, relationships and that staff represent the service in a professional way. To ensure that the home exemplifies the highest quality of care to young people by actively promoting continual improvement.

This is a permanent position working on a rolling rota consisting of 39 hours a week, to include sleep-ins.

We are looking for someone who is calm, and supportive, and is able to deliver care with a therapeutic approach.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience supporting young people, either paid or voluntary.
