Brook Street are working alongside a highly respected children's residential service. We are looking to employ individuals with a passion for children to join their team and fulfil the role of caring for children/ young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).


Located in a semi-rural part of County Durham, this service has a warm, homely environment. This environment is reflected for the services focus on therapeutic support for children with SEMH needs.

You will be kind, caring and supportive in providing day to day care for children and young people. You will support the children and young people in their daily activities or meetings relating to their individual situation. You will work as a part of a dedicated team to ensure that safeguarding their welfare is always practiced. You will help to keep the service to a high standard of cleanliness, as well as providing meals.

You will ideally have an NVQ Level 3 / Diploma in Children and Young People, or the equivalent of at least 1 years' experience working in a children's residential home with SEMH. You will be over the age of 21.

The starting salary for this role is £22,605.44, however will increase handsomely following successful probationary period (6 months).
