Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Residential Support worker for a role based in Oldham (Delph). This would be a full time role based on 42 hours a week.

You will be working for a company that is based in the North West. They pride themselves on being friendly, innovative, person-centre and empowering. They value all their employees and will spend time and money investing in your career.

You will be supporting young people aged 8 - 18 years in a 5 bedded service. The young people are often at this service as they require short/medium care. The young people have a range of needs which include emotional and behavioural needs. You will need to create the house a home for these young people to encourage them to grow and thrive there. You will be working with them to make positive changes and to avoid them using drug and alcohol.

Ideally you will have worked with Children in a residential setting before. You will need to be able to work shifts. You will need to be a driver as you will be supporting with the school runs and also out of school activities.

The shifts are long days which are 8.30am - 10.30pm. There are optional sleep in shifts which are paid at £78 per sleep in - There is up to 10 sleeps a month which would give you an additional £9360 annually!!!

After you have completed your 6 month probation you will be able to work towards your Level 4 in Children and Young People work force!

The salary is £19044 - £24242 (Depending on Experience) - HOWEVER you can make an additional £9360 if you complete 10 sleep in shifts a month!
