Job Description

An exciting opportunity as presented itself to work within one of the UK`s leading Education and Childrens services. Based at a specialist residential setting for young people aged 5 to 19 with autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties. THIS IS A FULL TIME ROLE AT 40 HOURS.

As a Residential Support Worker you will be a key member of support to the students offering them a stable and active approach to learning as well as enriching the young peoples lives so they may increase their confidence, self - esteem, dignity and independence.

You will also be providing high standards of person-centred support and care to the young people throughout their day-to-day life. Residential support workers through a creative and caring approach, will build good relationships with both students and their families, supporting them in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible.

To be successful in this role you must have experience working with children and young people, you must also be comfortable delivering personal care and due to the role being physically demanding you will be confident to deal with challenging behaviour if and when they present. You will also be a team player, have excellent communication skills, be flexible and have a strong "can do" attitude.
