Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Responsible Individual or experienced, Children's Senior Manager to oversee and develop a cluster of children's residential homes within the East Lancashire and Greater Manchester area.

You will be joining an already established specialist provider of crisis care, respite care, outreach care for children and young people who present with challenging social, emotional, educational and behavioural difficulties. They endeavour to create unique home's where the children and young people are nurtured, encouraged and enabled to exceed the expectations of others and reach their full potential. As the Ofsted registered Responsible Individual you will oversee a cluster of designated homes and act on behalf of the organisation to ensure they meet relevant requirements set out in legislation. You will ensure that the Registered Homes Managers provides a high standard of consistent care and service in accordance with legislation, central government guidance, regulations and standards, and the policies and procedures. You will have autonomy in the decisions and management of placements within the Residential provision and liaise with the Senior Management Team in formulating jointly agreed plans to ensure a coordinated approach to services for children and young people.

The successful applicant will hold a minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, a minimum of 5 years' experience in residential care or a directly related field, at least two of these must be at management level, a wealth of Ofsted experience, experience of assessment, care planning, and review and a hold Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

This is a permanent, full time position with a salary band of £75,000 - £80,000 plus opportunities for further development and additional company benefits.
